Led a research effort to establish Cash’s “Commerce Vision” and how Cash App could begin to incorporate commerce features and functions into their ecosystem while ensuring that they address key strategic priorities and needs of key audiences.
The purpose was to lay the intellectual and strategic foundation on which to build future features.

Role: Lead User Researcher
Worked with Nike Valiant Lab’s team to research, inform, and design a value proposition and product experience for Nike’s Connected Fitness platform.
The purpose was to research and design an underfoot sensing system that could measure how much strain and force a person’s body undergoes while they run to help them avoid injuries.
Led various research projects and teams, from concept testing to hardware testing. Through research efforts, the team secured funding rounds through various strategic reviews, though the project was put on hold due to internal restructurings.

Role: Program Manager
Worked with awesome people to develop and launch the inagural Data Labs program to help state teams ideate, develop, and stand-up data projects. I co-authored a “playbook” to help others with similar ambitions in state government and launched.

Role: Assistant Researcher (Current)
Assisting professors in developing academic research projects on sustainable development goals, initiatives, and impacts. I have a couple of upcoming publications centered around natural resource management in Oregon and energy preferences within BIPOC households in Oregon.
Additionally, I have done research concerning collaborative and cooperative agreements between federal, state, and local governments with tribal governments.

Role: Strategist
Helped to develop distinct experiences and services to launch in the new Nike 650 store. Conducted rapid research in-market to inform and refine experience concepts.

Senior Director Client at Nike: Sean Madden
Role: Lead Strategist
Worked with a great crew to revamp U.S. Soccer’s digital presence with a new website and game-day app experience. The new U.S. Soccer app provides fans with matchday experiences, exclusive content, and live states and enhances in-stadium experiences by connecting fans to activities in and around the stadium.

Worked with the Global Basketball and North America Running Category to organize various qualitative research projects to explore and define their primary consumer segments. Work included managing the recruitment of respondents, moderating and conducting in-field research, documentation/ analysis, and presenting to clients.
The research took place in various markets: Shanghai, Beijing, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
